Il numero chiuso per entrare in piazza Duomo a Milano per assistere al concerto Radio Italia Live di domenica 18 giugno "dispiace" ma siamo in una "fase delicata": lo ha detto il sindaco di Milano Beppe Sala commentando la decisione del comitato per l'ordine e la sicurezza di permettere l'accesso a massimo 23.500 persone per l'evento. Si tratta di una misura di sicurezza che arriva dopo i fatti di Torino (1.500 feriti per la psicosi di un attentato) e Manchester, e che era già stata sperimentata in occasione del concerto gratuito della Filarmonica della Scala, lo scorso 11 giugno sempre in piazza Duomo. "A chi non riesce, consigliamo di tornare a casa". A controllare che tutto si svolga per il meglio, oltre 100 poliziotti. Il dispositivo di sicurezza ricalcherà quello messo in campo per la visita del Papa.

Coloro che vorranno accedere alla piazza dovranno passare obbligatoriamente attraverso i nove varchi controllati con metal detector ed esibire borse e zaini. A collaborare alla sorveglianza dell'area protetta ci saranno infine duecento steward in pettorina. Occorre mettersi in fila dal mattino, quando la piazza sarà bonificata per permettere di seguire le prove.


L'appello degli organizzatori è stato subito raccolto da diversi cantanti e dagli speaker di Radio Italia, Luca e Paolo, che hanno pubblicato sui propri profili social immagini e video con l'hashtag #lamusicaèpiùforte. Le star più attese della sesta edizione saranno Francesco Gabbani e i superospiti Andrea Bocelli e Anastacia. "Nella seconda zona 'gialla', molto più ampia, il traffico sarà limitato per regolare l'afflusso degli spettatori". Un primo anello di dieci varchi nell'area vicino al piazzale del Meazza sarà attivo dalle 8, mentre il secondo sarà a ridosso dell'impianto. Non si potranno vendere bottiglie in vetro e lattine e ci sarà una stretta sui venditori abusivi.
