Il 21 giugno è la Festa della Musica e Roma la celebra in piazze, strade, parchi e cortili. Solo in Lombardia se ne contano 62, 39 in Piemonte, 36 in Campania, circa 30 in Puglia, Emilia Romagna e Veneto.

La giornata ha un legame importante con l'iniziativa di valorizzazione dei Borghi Italiani: delle più di 400 località che aderiscono alla Festa della Musica, molte sono Borghi mediopiccoli. Una ricorrenza che nacque nel 1982 con l'iniziativa del Ministero della cultura francese grazie alla quale l'intera Francia fu invasa da musicisti dilettanti e professionisti.


"Questa festa ha una specificità - ha aggiunto Bergamo -immaginare che le persone si mettono in gioco e insieme si prendono la responsabilità di costruire insieme una festa civica: il numero zero di una festa civica". Tantissimi concerti di musica dal vivo si svolgeranno ogni anno, il 21 giugno, in tutte le città, principalmente all'aria aperta, con la partecipazione di musicisti di ogni livello e di ogni genere. Dal Nord a Sud passando per le isole, coinvolgendo quei luoghi magici del Mibact che rappresentano il fiore all'occhiello del sistema Paese. Più di 40 ore di musica in sei giorni, che richiameranno oltre 50.000 spettatori nel centro storico. L'edizione 2017, in Italia, si preannuncia una delle più visitate di sempre.

Tra cori, musicisti classici, jazzisti, bande, musicisti della tradizione popolare e folklorica, percussionisti e band rock, tutti i gusti musicali saranno soddisfatti! Sul palco montato dal Comune di Aosta si alternano 13 formazioni musicali, tra gruppi e singoli, per l'edizione 2017 della Festa della Musica, celebrata dal 1985, in tutta Europa. Musica per trasmettere valori di rinascita come i suoni in strada contro mafia e bullismo a piazza Politeama a Palermo o i concerti nelle zone del terremoto del centro Italia a Camerino, Norcia e Cascia. A dimostrarlo e' anche il fatto che e' diventata obiettivo dei nemici della civilta' e della liberta', che colpiscono i luoghi di raduno per eventi musicali. È un'onda che s'intreccia con altre ed è capace di cambiare la vita e di creare emozioni struggenti ma anche di dare forza e gioia. "Per quelle popolazioni questo e' il tempo dei beni di seconda necessita', la musica non sara' bene di prima necessita' ma senza di essa non viviamo".
