Obama blasts Senate health plan for its “fundamental meanness”

When SenateRepublicansrevealed their plan Thursday to replace the Affordable Care Act, Pennsylvania political figures quickly tallied the effects its passage may have in the state. The bill's biggest obstacle could be opposition from within the Republican party.
Less reasonably, both plans call for slashing taxes that helped pay for Obamacare's insurance subsidies.
The bill also would repeal the mandate that employers provide coverage, so more people (in any income bracket) could also end up in that boat.
